A larger obelisk for broad beans and vegetable growing.
The items are woven from heavy duty willow rods, with six to eight uprights, which give the wider base of the obelisk real strength in order to cope with climbing vegetables, like broad beans.
The head of the obelisk is securely woven tight, around the larger diameter willow poles for strength and security.
The broad base of the 'bean obelisk' has wider horizontal binding weave to hold the willow frame together as your plants mature and the season's crop develops.
This larger woven willow frame, which we call our 'bean obelisk' is ideal for green climbing vegetables or heavier, more abundant flowering climbers.
The uprights are made from two year old English willow, and are secured in place by additional widths of traditional basket weave.
The whole, substantial woven item is an ideal durable and larger than standard Winterwillow
obelisk.
Ideal as Spring or anytime gifts for the keen gardener.
