A short narrative about WinterWillow
As a new social enterprise we had already been successful in raising funds to transform some of our spaces into workshops.
The development of these spaces was planned to enable our social enterprise to spring to life - offering opportunities to cultivate, manage and sustain willow stocks - which we will then design, craft and deliver as woven products - such as baskets, garden structures and woven willow coffins.
We have been enormously pleased to be supported by a number of organisations in and around in Cambridge.
A cohort of Cambridge Students in Free Enterprise were able to help us craft our business plan.

Thank you to everyone for their support...
Cambridge Students in Free Enterprise,
Cambridge Judge Business School - a world leading business school at the heart of Cambridge.
Eastside Consultancy - Strategic planning and business advice for SMEs, charities and social enterprises.
A group of MBA students from the Cambridge Judge Business School have been supporting our market research by helping us to explore the UK funeral and green burial markets.
Our successful entry into the Spark Challenge has meant that we were able to benefit from coaching and mentoring from Eastside Consultancy.
As winners of the Spark Challenge for 2009 we have been able to carry our social enterprise plans through to fruition.
Our weaving tutor, Roger Fowle, is busy organising our production of willow coffins and seasonal goods for the Christmas trade.
Thank you for your interest in our enterprise. If you do become a customer - we really appreciate your support.
